Colleges That Change Lives--a resource for you

Colleges That Change Lives is a non-profit organization representing 44 independent, private colleges that focuses on "the advancement and support of a student-centered college search process." Of these 44 colleges, 34 are test-optional schools where the ACT or SAT is not required to apply (although each school shares the average ACT and SAT score in the Academic Profile of Entering Class information).

We like their emphasis on the process of applying for college along with the News/Advice section which includes tips such as Top Tips for Campus Visits, Making the Most of Summer, and Ready, Set, Go! How to Begin a College Search. Their approach to the daunting task of applying for college offers a helpful set of tools for high schoolers and their families, especially those on the Autism Spectrum who might be overwhelmed on where to begin.
