Fantastic documentary of a mother of an autistic son, as she tracks down the first person in the US diagnosed with autism, who is now an elderly man living in small-town Mississippi, chronicling his journey through life and sharing the process she and others have gone through in assisting their children in the transition to adulthood. In A Different Key shows the challenges different socio-economic groups face in the processes of diagnosis, care, and support as well as including families in various stages of school, adulthood, and connecting to the broader autism community.
