We like this collection of life lessons shared with us by the author Tracey, who is on the Autism spectrum. She shares ten different sections (chapters really) listing vignettes to help us see into the life of an autistic girl or woman. Our favorite sections are the "Detecting Early Signs of Asperger Syndrome, Why Are Females Missed in Diagnosis?, Strategies for Coping with Sensory Challenges, and Tips Based on My Personal Experience." Many of her six-word lessons give advice/strategies, offer insight into the brain of an autistic woman, and highlight the idiosyncrasies and actions/reactions common in the Autism world. Those on the spectrum will appreciate the commonalities found through the author's experiences, and for us neurotypical folks this book is another tool in growing our empathy with those on the spectrum.
